We were at the "outside Bar" great Bartenders. A gal in training was also welcoming. We had Seafood Nachos, wheelhouse tacos, catfish and enjoyed our meals. Great service and ambiance! Highly recommend for fun in the area! Worth the drive!
Family dined here after a funeral. Large table near the river on the patio. We were gathered from multiple states to share a special meal. The manager arranged everything for a truly memorable experience. The atmosphere was like a tropical resort. The menu was diverse and especially the seafood section! The bar was well stocked and the drink options were spectacular. Looking out our open patio table provided views of boats, tugs,barges and ships floating past us. Our waitress was very attentive and didn't miss anything we wanted or needed. The food was delicious from appetizers to dessert. I highly recommend this restaurant with all its amenities and service for any dining occasion.
Good food it was delicious Service was fair , could have been better The place was fairly clean But there were birds flying in and eating food from tables that hadn't been cleaned after the customers left ! I will go back but won't sit outside on deck or patio

The atmosphere is hands down amazing! You can sit at the bar if you want, or sit near the river. The place is huge! Our server, Giselle, was very attentive. We started with the crab cakes. They were average. There were 2, so we didn't overeat. I had the stuffed chicken and hubby had the redfish. He was a little disappointed in the green beans (not cooked enough) but said the fish was very good. My chicken was very moist and the asparagus was cooked the way I like it; nice and crispy. The chicken was stuffed with crawfish cornbread and was pretty tasty. After dinner we took a walk along the river. It was a great evening!
Went this past Friday. We were immediately seated and surprisingly it wasn't busy! We came in at around 7pm. Anyways, waitress was really nice and checked up on us alot to make sure our food was good and that we had plenty of water. Service was VERY quick, pistolettes were brought out within 10 minutes I think. I ended up ordering the blackened catfish for myself and was able to switch my sides. My cousin got the beef tips and French fries. Everything was delicious. Dare I say the best catfish I've EVER had?! I loved it. Everything we ordered I would most definitely eat again. This was my first time here and I loved the food. I'd go back for sure! I love chicken fried steak so that's what I plan on trying next! The restaurant has plenty of parking, is on the water, and well laid out. Even as it got busier it didn't ever feel too loud in there.
I bring my family to this restaurant every time someone comes to visit. The food is delicious and a lot. 4 people ate from this and we had leftovers. If it is your first time coming to Wheelhouse try the pistolettes! The service is great, everyone is so nice, the food is ready very fast. It is right next to the Neches River, the view is very relaxing and beautiful. Ambience is great.
